Disturbed Indestructible
Dead Kennedy
Tonight, June 6th, at the House of Blues, I am going to see the Dead Kennedy’s! If you haven’t heard them, then I am going to fully assume that you were never into the punk scene. I got into the Dead Kennedy’s in high school, and still put on one of there album from the 80′s every so often.
I know I wasn’t able to see the band perform live before they split up in the late 80′s. And it won’t be the same without the one and only original singer Jello Biafra! But since his departure of the band in 1986 he has his own “spoken word” albums and was at a disagreement with the rest of the members over music rights and won’t join them again.
So for know we will enjoy the new lead singer of the band who happend to join up just this year, Ron “Skip” Greer the former vocalist of Easy Bay pop punk outfit The Wynona Riders
Update – 6/12/08
I was totally denied access into the House of Blues with a camera. Bastards!
Alright, so after hearing the opening song, I wasn’t much impressed by the new singer, but after the third song I think he did a good job. Now in no way would he ever be as good or replace Jello, but I never have seen the band live, though I don’t really consider what I saw the true “Dead Kennedys”. It was enjoyable to see two of the original members all old playing 80′s punk!
So keep rockin’ but bring back Jello, and I will be there again!
Robert Muraine and Swizz Beatz

Have you seen SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE? Well the first week saw an amazing pop and lock dancer Robert Muraine. Not only was he an awesome pop and locker, but his music of choice was real crazy!
I bet you are wondering who the artist is, well the artist name is Swizz Beatz and the song is called “It’s Me B*#@hes”.

Crestwood Summit

We finished working down south early this morning and got a jump on the Friday traffic. On the way home we took highway 8, and past by the highest point on the highway before reaching sea level in San Diego. Crestwood Summit stands at 4181 feet. When you reach the top you can see these massive wind power plants!
Mexico next exit

I am down in El Centro as I said before, and I made the short 1 hour drive to Yuma Arizona to take a look at a crushing plant. Well I was only in Arizona for a short hour, and managed to see at least twenty Border Patrol trucks!
I was also tickled and amused by a sign on the back towards California that said “Mexico, next exit”.
During the short 50 mile trip from Yuma to El Centro there are two patrol check points. Not only are there two, which I am totally cool with, but they are within 10 miles of each other. I guess that is in a “high traffic” area.
Going south for work

I left early yesterday morning, 6 am to be exact. I was headed down south, towards San Diego. But It was not my final destination, driving down the 405 we veered off at the 55 toll road to shave some time. The toll road was $5 but definitely saved us 30 minutes. We jumped on the 805 freeway to highway 8 in San Diego and stopped in Ocatillo, CA at a crushing pit.
We were only at the sand pit for an hour, but I already felt the desert air heating up. We saw our items and left for El Centro, were we were appraising a construction company’s line up for two more days.
