I was prompted on my Dell XPS m1530; which is running Windows Vista Ultimate, to update to the new “Service Pack 1“. Well let me tell you, as soon as it was down installing and my computer shut down, it went wrong!
I stepped away from the computer for a quick bite, and when I came back there was a black screen and a service code 0xc0190036 6009/72495 (msadds.dll) flashing on my screen. “Thats not right”, I said to my self. And when the computer stopped and restarted it came upon the blue screen of death! I shrieked and scrambled to fix it.
After an hour or more of powering my laptop on and off, and multiple blue screens. I got the built in system restore to fall back on a system update just three days old… I do like Vista a lot, but it seems I have a problem every time I update the system with mandatory security fix.

How did you get to the built in system restore????
I had it installed from Dell when I bought the custom laptop. So in case of system error, the computer automatically boots into system restore. It will fall back on old system images, but will not erase any personal files!
